Understanding Ghostwriting

Ghostwriting is a contractual agreement between the client and the writer, who is commissioned to produce a completed manuscript for a one-off fee.

As a ghostwriter, my name does not appear on the book cover, and I do not receive royalties for any subsequent book sales. You, the client, have full control over all publishing rights.

Confidentiality and privacy are paramount, which is why a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed before the writing process begins. This ensures absolute discretion on my part and protects the confidentiality of the collaboration.

How Pricing Works

Rates vary according to project scope, manuscript length, and required service level.
Typical investment ranges include:

Ghostwriting (nonfiction, memoir, business): $0.40–$0.60 per word (or fixed project rate)
Developmental Editing: $0.10–$0.12 per word
Line Editing: $0.04–$0.06 per word
Proofreading: $0.02–$0.03 per word
Publishing Guidance Package: $1,200–$1,500
